Fun Facts regarding "The Grasshopper Song":
Worked On: May 21 [Imagery], [Ex] & 22 [H/M/E/N], 2014
Released On: ???
Serial Numbers: #A-254 / #M-187

* This is the first K-pop song I've done in quite some time;
  otherwise, the most recent was "Always" (which was years ago;
  by the way, yes, I do *still* absolutely LOVE "Always").

* This is the long version of the song.

* The BPM was stolen from Mudkyp's simfile. I would've arrived
  at the same conclusion anyway, so there's no reason *not* to
  take it. Thus, he receives credit for determining it.

* This simfile is a one-up attempt on his, as he used the
  short version and only wrote an Expert chart. He does include
  a very nice banner and background, however; Mudkyp has my
  respect for bothering when so many stepartists who write
  entire packs all at once simply don't usually ever bother.
  His simfile is quite good, and has uncued footswitch. I won't
  be doing that to people (I'm writing this bullet point before
  starting the simfile), but his own simfile is still fun and
  will still be included in the Picks Pack.

* Expert is a possibly-easy 11, depending how you view things;
  there's a slightly heavy amount of jumps and there are hands
  in the chorus. Aside from that, the patterns are relatively
  easy to read, and there aren't any other real tricks in the
  chart.

* Hard is definitely what DDR players used to call a "cata" in
  the sense that it's a difficult 9; the patterns are easy to
  read, but the awkward BPM of the song makes it just swift
  enough that some players may have trouble actually having
  sufficient ability or stamina to clear the entire song.

* So you ask me "awkward BPM?" Yes. Here's what I and
  most other players think about BPM, speed-wise; these
  thoughts reflect the song's *main* BPM(s) that you're
  actually expected to read and really hit arrows at (as
  opposed to a speed change that only lasts for the length
  of a really long hold or roll):
  ->  Below 70: Painfully Slow
  ->  70 -  90: Really Slow
  ->  90 - 120: Slow
  -> 120 - 145: Average
  -> 145 - 170: Awkwardly Semi-Swift
  -> 170 - 185: Swift
  -> 185 - 200: Fast
  -> 200 - 225: Really Fast
  -> Above 225: Ridiculously Fast
  Songs below 70 happen sometimes, and really good charts
  whose main BPM crawl along like that know how to either
  play with the fact that the song is that slow, and/or
  make the chart easier to read (good examples include
  ITGR2's "Chronon," UFOS' "In the Bottom of the Valley
  of Fallen Ash," and my own Single "Koi no Uta").
  The fastest songs I've seen in the Tachyon series ask
  players to stream at 255 BPM. Which makes them 19+ feet
  in difficulty. You have to be insane and godlike to
  do that on foot, and equally skilled on StepMania with
  your fingers.
  If a song is exactly 300 BPM, it's actually been
  doubled from 150 as a gimmick (that crap was started
  by DDR's "Max 300"); such charts NEVER have 16ths.
  You should never play any charts that ask you to actually
  comprehend arrow streams faster than 500 BPM unless you
  trust the stepartist implicitly; it's generally entirely
  unacceptable to expect players to read that fast; people
  who don't usually read at greater than 3x will probably
  be attempting and failing it at or close to 1x, at which
  point they can't make the song GO any slower without
  a theme that has speed decrease mods as part of the list
  (in some cases, short endings may be acceptable; ITG2's
  Vertex^2 gradually climbs to 555 at the very end).

* Um...it looks like I digressed. XD Anyway, Medium is
  a highly technical 7, and it has some limited amount of
  galloping in the chorus (we're still acting like a
  grasshopper a bit here). If you can't do tech charts
  quite yet, don't do this one until you're more ready.

* Easy is a solid 5; you'll be all over the place,
  particularly during the chorus. There are, however,
  no longer any purple arrows anywhere to speak of.

* Novice is a 3.  I was going to rate it a 2, but it'd be
  a particularly difficult 2, and it's more important to
  rate things higher on Novice or Easy if there's even
  the slightest doubt that a lower rating would have
  a newbie playing something they might fail and
  complain about the rating for. So 3 it is.
